Rest. Reflect. Heal.

I am glad you found your way here. Before anything else, I want to invite you to pause. Take a breath. Let your body arrive before your mind tries to make sense of anything. You do not need to explain yourself or have the right words. You are welcome here exactly as you are.

Our bodies are faithful recorders. They hold what our minds have tried to move past, what our lives have asked us to endure, and what generations before us were never able to fully put down. Sometimes what brings us to therapy is not a single event but a slow accumulation, a tiredness that lives in the chest, a guardedness we cannot quite explain, a disconnection from ourselves that has quietly grown over time.

Sela was created as a place to begin to listen to those signals with curiosity rather than judgment. Healing is not only cognitive. It is something the body participates in, something that happens in relationship, and something that unfolds in its own time.

How we work together
Therapy at Sela is integrative and trauma-informed. It attends to what the mind holds and what the nervous system remembers. Difficult experiences do not only live in our memories. They live in our posture, our breath, our reactions, and the way we move through relationships. Healing asks us to attend to all of it.

Our work together may include reflective conversation, somatic awareness, breathwork, or mind-body practices drawn from therapeutic yoga. We work within your window of tolerance, moving at a pace that feels manageable rather than overwhelming, building your capacity to be present with what arises rather than defended against it.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, questions of identity and belonging, or the particular complexity of living between cultures and generations, there is room for it here

Who this space is for

This space is for you if something feels off and you are not quite sure how to name it. Maybe you are exhausted in a way that sleep does not fix, or carrying something from your past that keeps showing up in your present. Maybe life looks fine from the outside, but it does not feel that way on the inside. Wherever you are, you are welcome here.

Sela warmly welcomes LGBTQ+ folks and couples, people from global majority communities, immigrants and first-generation Americans, adults navigating burnout and life transitions, and anyone who has sat in a room and felt that their full self was too much or not quite right for the space they were in.

Sela is a space where your identity is not a footnote. It is part of the work. Cultural humility is not a box I checked in training. It is something I practice with intention and continue to learn, because every person who walks through this door carries a world of experience that deserves genuine curiosity, not assumptions.

If something here feels familiar, I believe you are exactly where you are meant to be.
